Japanese Tilapia Recipe

The ingredients that you need are as follows:

  • 2 fillets of Tilapia fish
  • ½ cup of Jasmine rice
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Persian cucumbers
  • 3 oz. Radishes
  • 1 tbsp. mirin
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. Ponzu sauce. It is a special Japanese vegetable sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Japanese seasoning.

In order to make the Japanese seasoning, you need the following ingredients:

  • Black sesame seed
  • White sesame seed
  • Poppy seeds
  • Dried orange peel
  • Hot paprika
  • Paprika


The process is explained below:

  • First, you need to wash as well as dry the fresh item. After that, you will have to peel and chop the garlic cloves. Cut the cucumbers in medium dice. After that, you need to cut the radishes as per the length. Now, you will need to slice them crosswise. 
  • After this, you will have to take a medium-sized bowl. Then, you will need to add ponzu sauce and mayonnaise together.
  • Now, you will have to cook the rice. In order to do this, you need a small or medium-sized pot. After that, you will have to add water, salt, chopped garlic, and rice. Start boiling it and after that, you will need to reduce the heat. Now, you will have to cook and cover it. Do not stir it. Cover it and keep it like this for at least 14 minutes. Water will be absorbed and the rice will become tender. Now, you need to turn the heat off. Keep it covered in order to keep it warm.
  • Now, after cooking rice, you will have to marinate the vegetables. This is a simple step. You need to take a bowl and add the vegetables. After that, you will need to add vinegar and sugar. Now, stir them very well.
  • Now, you need to do the main part. You will have to take a frying pan and then, add oil and start frying the fish. After that, serve it with marinated vegetables and cooked rice.
